Darlington’s Emerging Local Plan Undergoes Further Consultation
Progress has been made with Darlington Borough Council’s emerging Local Plan. The Darlington Local Plan 2016-2036 was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 22 December 2020.
The Examination in Public was undertaken over the summer and a further round of consultation on the proposed modifications is underway.
Burtree Garden Village, referred to as Greater Faverdale in the Local Plan, is a strategic allocation to support a Mixed Use Development of approximately 2,000 homes and approximately 200,000 square metres of employment space on a 177.8 hectare site in North West Darlington.
